Free Cards & FREE GIFT Friday ~ The Artist's Way

Hello fellow mama artists ~ today, instead of just offering Free Cards for Free Cards Friday, I am also gifting a copy of The Artist's Way book and a hard bound Morning Pages Journal.

If I can help one of my favorite supporters and friends start 2011 with some fresh purpose and inspiration, I am ON IT!

One commenter will get BOTH gifts. NOTE ~ when you comment, let me know WHO this gift will be for and a tiny bit about how you think it might inspire you/them.

Julia Cameron says:
"Most of us have no idea of our real creative height. We are much more gifted than we know. My tools help to nurture those gifts."
The Artist's Way has sold more than two million copies worldwide, and Julia Cameron's followup bestsellers The Vein of Gold, Walking in this World and The Right to Write are likewise flagship books which are taught in universities, churches, human potential centers and even in tiny clusters deep in the jungles of Panama.

It's Free Cards Friday! Add your comment to this blog post telling me WHO this gift will be for and a tiny bit of how you think it will inspire you/them (here at the blog or on the Facebook page) throughout the weekend and be in the running to win these two insightful books plus some cards ~ I'll choose the winner on Monday (unless there are less than 5 entries, I may wait til next week).

Wishing you a safe and happy New Years Eve & Day,
Love & Sincerely ~ Katie

  1. Wow Katie--these books look awesome. I just checked out her website too. I was thinking it would be a gift for my mom, but the more I read about them, I think I might have to read them first! :)

Happy New Year to you and your family!

  2. Those do look awesome. They will be for my husband if I win. :) He used to do so much artwork and has stopped in the last few years. I would love to help him get back into it.

  3. I would give these to my friend from church who is both a high school art teacher ad well as a painter and artist himself. I love his work and would love to be able to show him some support.

  4. Fingers crossed, I know these would give the push my crafty/creative Mama needs. I just know they would plant a seed and help her grow it. THanks and happy new year!

  6. Selfishly enough, I'll keep these for myself. Like all following your blog, I love beautiful art and I'm sure these will be wonderful to read through and look at.

    Happy New Year everyone!

  7. The card would be for other beautiful mamas who gave birth around the same time as I do... We support each other by sending uplifting cards/letters several times a year. The book would be for my husband, who deserves to have his creative spark kindled!! And the journal would be for me, since I have not found a way to get back to my creative self since I had my own little one!!! (I read the book some years ago and even did morning pages for a year after that... So I know it helps!)

  8. These would be a gift to myself, to help me rediscover my creative side and inspiration once again. They are so lovely.

  9. Katie - first I want to tell you that your art is an inspiration in and of itself! So, no matter who wins the cards/books, please know that at least I feel inspired by looking at your art!

The book would go to both my daughters and myself, and the journal would be for my elder daughter. We have been working on the creative aspects of our lives and have that as a goal for this year. My hope is that by encouraging their creativity, it will also encourage their confidence in themselves, as well as their compassion.

    Happy New Year everyone!

  10. I don't consider myself to be very artistic, but creativity is a big passion of mine! I'm struggling to maintain that now that I'm back at work full time. I already have one of your beautiful cards framed on my office desk along with pictures of my girls. :) I'd love more guidance on having creativity in my life so the books would be for me!
