Free Cards Friday ~ Grounded With Wings

A recent painting for a valued client ~ Grounded, With Wings ~ touched me in a way other paintings haven't.

The sketch and words that began the process, and the last couple weeks required to complete the painting were the strongest ~ it was as if I was offered the guidance to begin, then left to my own devices for awhile, then followed by another pull to complete it just 'so'.

You held her has a baby
hugged her as a child
helped shape her young life with your loving hands.

She moved through you, watches over you
plays in your hair,
whispers in your ear.
